Atlas Gentech has recently started the development of the
Atlas Gentech Training Academy (AGTA)

The AGTA is responsible for indentifying what training is required to promote and support the vast product range that AG distributes. We have been developing sales training modules to assist sales people. If our customers have well trained sales people, they will be more effective in the sales process. This has already been apparent on the small sector of people we have sampled our new training on.

We have modified our installation training syllabus to accommodate the ongoing development within our product range. For example we are changing the structure of the LG-Ericsson iPECS installation course. Previously to attend an iPECS installation course a technician had to have passed an IPLDK training course to be eligible to attend the iPECS course. The course will now allow anyone with a solid telephony background to attend. The course overall has changed now to a 4 day installation course plus we have added a 3 day advanced integrators course.

We are also working on commercial end-user training courses that teach commercial end-users how to use the equipment, whether it is an alarm, access control, CCTV, building management or telephone system.

The AGTA is headed by Leonard Naera who has more than 25 years experience in the security industry and has spent the last 2 years learning whilst working in our Communication division. His vast experience in installation and distribution of both security and communication products has been valuable as it has given him the ability to assess the requirements to sell, install and support our products into the market.
